It was late at night when Hinata crawled into bed next to her husband. She had already abandoned her ninja outfit for the night, and was dressed in a simple night gown. He snuggled closer to the object of her love, the one she had married just a scant few months ago, and kissed her love softly, whispering a soft good night before slumber overtook her lavender eyes.
Her beau never said a word, but that was okay, she liked it when he was quiet. She loved him anyway, no matter what. Ever since they met, she had fallen hopelessly in love with him. Forget Naruto, the only man in her life slept next to her in bed.
The next morning, she got up, stretching and yawning cutely, her nightgown rising to show off her petite belly. She gazed lovingly over in the direction of her beloved, only to see a note. Eyes now wide, her waking grogginess discarded, she scanned the note, which read 'If you ever want to see you... loved one... again, give us the Sacred Scroll!' How dare they steal her husband! He was Hokage! He had done a much better job than Naruto, but then again, anyone would. He was ramen-addled, that one. Still, she leaped out of bed, doing a somersault that somehow got her into her regular clothes.
She zoomed away at ninja speed, Byakugan activated in search for her beloved husband, the Hokage of Konoha. Finally, after fruitlessly searching for hours, she found him tied to a tree in the Forest of Death. Gasping for breath, she landed in the clearing, alert.
"Are y-you okay?" She finally asked, but there was no reply. Still, that was okay, he was the strong, silent type, after all. Finally, a group of enemy ninja, ex Iwa nin showed up.
"Where's the scroll, girl?" They growled, but she simply charged them, shouting,
"You are in range of my divination!" Several minutes later, the bad guys lay dead, and she freed her beloved, embracing him tightly. "Oh, my lo-love, I'll n-never leave you a-again!" She took him to the office, where he sat around, all silent and commanding-like. Eventually, his assistants came and did paperwork for him, and later Hinata brought him home.
That night, she gazed lovingly at him, and whispered, "Good night, I love you, Potato."
