Hi, I just got my first fanfic up, yay me! well yes I know its short and it may be kinda weird. first off, don't know why it's fluff, I don't do much of that because angst is more fun. second, this is not elricest, I do not write that stuff though I don't have anything against it. enjoy!
disclaimer: uhh... I do not own Full metal Alchemist or any characters of it. I also do not own a thunder storm, that would be fun!
Rain splattered against the window and bright jagged flashes of lightning periodically lit up the dark stormy night sky. The lightning of course was followed by loud rolling thunder that shook the whole house. He knew that it was childish and that there was no reason to be scared so bad that he couldn't sleep, but he was. Another flash followed by more thunder made his decision for him.
Slowly he crept across the room to the other bed. Then he slipped into the covers. There he snuggled close to the sleeping occupant. He lay his head on the sleepers chest and sighed as the relaxing rhythms of the persons heart and breathing, along with the comforting warmth they gave off soothed him to sleep.
After a while one sleepy golden eye opened and looked down at himself, he could have sworn he'd felt something. Once his bleary vision cleared he saw a messy mop of sandy blond hair. He sighed and moved an arm to encircle the boy. Then he nested his own head back into his pillow, and dreamed of a time long ago.
He lay curled up under his covers shivering with fright but trying to hide it. The storm roared on outside and to his six year old mind seemed to be a monster.
"b-b-brother?" a soft scared voice asked. He poked his head out from under the covers and pretended to be angry about being woken up.
"what is it Al?" he growled trying to hide the whimper in his own voice.
"brother I'm scared can I sleep with you?" Al asked timidly.
"no, there's nothing to…." He tensed as the storm roared even louder suppressing a shriek of terror "… scared of" he finished voice slightly higher than normal.
"p-p-please brother"
"Al, our bed's are like two feet apart!"
"it's more than that…" Al said "please brother I can't sleep"
He didn't respond for a while until his own fear over took him "o-okay get in" he responded moving over a little "but just for tonight"
Al jumped in and the two brothers fell asleep curled up with each other feeling safe as long as they knew the other was there.
In the morning the storm was over and two golden eyes opened then looked fondly at the still sleeping boy. He then looked up and saw two questioning blue eyes looking at him.
"Ed?"
"shhh, Winry," he said putting a finger to his lips "Al never did like thunder storms" he offered for explanation.
hi! please tell me what you think, anything welcome even flames, fire is fun to play with and I doubt you could be harsher that I am on myself
