Chapter 1 A chance meeting
I woke up and stretched out my arms wide the sheets are so cool to the touch and ah there he is. I open my eyes and look outside the window overlooking the lake. What a beautiful sunrise this morning. I slide out from under his arm. Damn he is so handsome his muscles ripple in all the right places. I don't usually have my boyfriend "hmm is that what he is" spend the night in my bed but he was so darn cute when he poked out his bottom lip and ask could he stay. How could I resist his request?
My mind slips back to a couple of months ago I met Bill on my way home from work. I had stopped by the store for a craving I was having it had been a long day and I wanted some Swedish fish candy. Yep that would be my stress reliever. Bill was entering the store at the same time I was. He held open the door tipped his imaginary hat and says "ma'am" I said " thank you sir" and continued into the store with a smile thinking what a handsome gentlemen. I was lost in my thoughts and as I went to grab a box of my candy of choice another hand reached at the same time. The energy between our brief touch was like nothing I had ever felt before. I looked up to say excuse me and it was my mystery gentlemen from the door. We just looked at each other and smiled. He looked at me and says" Ah! Great minds think alike" I giggled and said "Yes they do". I picked up my box of candy and headed for the register. As I walked out the store I took one look back as he tipped his imaginary hat again. I smiled and threw my hand in the air. All the way home I couldn't get my mystery man out of my mind. My faith in humanity had been returned there were still gentlemen in the world. For the next week every day when I drove by that store n my way home from the school I looked to see if my mystery man was there. On Thursday night on the way home I thought Meghan you don't even know who this man is. It had to just be one of those chanced meeting that make you smile and you go on about your day. But I just couldn't get over the energy from our chance touch. I told myself "Oh well time to put my big girl panties on and just enjoy the memory of his smile and go on about my day." Maybe on a rainy day I could pull out that memory and use it when I needed a smile.
It was the next Friday night and I am helping with Parents night out at my school. I had done really good and not thought about my mystery man in a week. My bestie Jill said I should have her husband Jim use his resources to find out who he was. Since I was still so mesmerized by our chance encounter I told her she would do no such thing.
