A/N: Obviously if you're here then you'd know. RahXephon was awesome! This is just going to be a place for a few poems that came to mind while watching the episodes. First one is from the point of view of Hiroko Asahina, from the episode "Ticket to Nowhere." This part was just so sad I needed to write something. I hope it recreates some of the drama that episode manifested. Read on!
"Love Letters in Indigo"
Blood runs down my shivering lips.
The deep ocean blue river doesn't seem to stop.
Why is it that my blood is blue?
Questions force the need to scream.
I stare at my inhumane reflection with denial.
How is it different from what everyone else does?
Yes, my blood is warm soothing red.
Just like everyone else's was.
It has to be true. It will be true.
My truth is all that I have left.
But you wouldn't care would you Ayato?
Of course you would because you are you.
Am I too much of a coward?
The need to tell you,
Does it outweigh my fear?
My hope is nothing but shattered glass.
You've been such an angel to me.
Caring and guarding one that is your enemy.
You fed me. You clothed me. Being there.
I only hide while your back is turned.
The indigo stains tell me so much yet so little.
Even then I find the apathy from within.
Our sparkling eyes meet, your smile intoxicating me to come closer.
You don't see me as an enemy, but only as a friend.
You hold me warmly against your chest,
My tears of joy dampening my face,
You are the only one that ever cared for me.
I cannot let you go and I won't ever do so.
We lay against the bed, my lips begging for you to come nearer.
You are hesitant but you give into me.
Our passion cannot be stopped.
Sweet tender kisses can only say so much.
The moment lasts for nothing but an eternity.
You walk away, trouble calling out to you.
You made a promise to me that night.
The promise to always protect me, and you were almost right.
The realization of a lifetime came too late.
For once in my life I see things oh so clearly.
And as you, the hero of the world, battles for its safety,
I stand before you as your enemy.
Blue blood, drips from my fading fingers,
The pain is all too immense.
Don't be sorry, you are not hurting me my love.
I have only hurt myself for not telling you.
I feel the need to strike you down.
But I would never let you be hurt.
I fall to my knees in agony, crawling towards you.
I need to tell you everything. To this I write all I feel.
My heart wants nothing more than to love you.
I want to learn every little thing about you.
No more secrets. No more pain.
This pen is now my voice of reason.
As the blood drips upon the notebook,
Now I know we weren't meant to be.
The tastes of your attacks are nothing in comparison.
Soon I will breath my last Ayato, but know my heart is always yours.
May your true love keep you safe
In a life of lies and confusion you gave me hope.
I love you Ayato Kamina, just as I've written to you in blue.
Death is nothing, in Heaven I shall be, forever waiting for you.
A/N: I think I am going to try a poem about Elvy's and Haraka's relationship next. Oh well, (crosses fingers for luckiness) I hope you enjoyed!
