A/N: Yet another Christmas related oneshot… I wrote it on Christmas, so it's allowed! I'm not one of those people who celebrate Christmas in July, I promise! Also, very slight language, because my family never accepted a couple of words as swears, so I say them sometimes. It's not that bad, just not for a six year old. Words such as damn and hell are said.

Remus Lupin stepped into 12, Grimmauld Place, stomping his battered boots on the small red rug that had been put in front of the door recently to get rid of the snow that was on them. He then took a few more steps inside, took his shabby, tweed jacket off, and hung it on an old coat rack. He walked all the way to the drawing room, where he saw an interesting sight.

A certain convicted-but-innocent-murder-and-Azkaban-escapee was holding the top of a pine tree in his arms. The tree's trunk was tangled up in a magnificent Black-style chandelier. Remus' jaw dropped as he took in the sight of his old friend muttering a stream of colorful words.

"Sirius… What are you doing?" Remus asked him bewilderedly. Sirius' head whipped to his direction.

"What the hell are you doing? Help me!" Sirius exclaimed.

"I'm afraid I don't know any spells for removing Christmas trees from chandeliers." Remus remarked, a bemused smile forming on his face.

"Get your damn backside over here and help me out!" Sirius ordered. Remus rolled his eyes and pulled his wand out. He pointed it at the tree.

"Locomotor tree." He muttered. The tree flew out of Sirius' arms and into the air. Using his wand, Remus carefully got it untangled and placed it on the stand that had been positioned on the ground next to it. The tree was quite large, nearly a foot taller than him. Remus turned to his friend. "Sirius… why were you trying to do that?" He asked.

"Because it's Christmas." Sirius replied simply, a grin growing on his face.

"You're too excited for my comfort." Remus admitted. He knew from experience that an excited Sirius was not one to be trusted. Sirius rolled his eyes.

"Why shouldn't I be excited? Christmas is in a few days." He stated, crossing his arms.

"I can't remember you ever being this excited about Christmas." Remus told him, studying the room. It was covered in red and green decorations and there was a truckload of holly on the walls. Sirius had even put up a small sprig of mistletoe near the doorway. The jolly decorations contrasted greatly with the gloomy interior of the room, making it look quite ridiculous. Remus looked back at Sirius and raised an eyebrow in inquisitively. The grin was wiped off of Sirius' face almost immediately.

"When you don't celebrate it in fourteen years, you start to miss it." He muttered darkly. Remus nodded.

"I can imagine." He mumbled, averting his eyes to look at the decorated drawing room. There was a moment of silence.

"Well… are you going to help me decorate this tree or what?" Sirius asked at last, clapping his hands together. He flicked his wand and a large box flew into the-

CRASH!

The next thing Remus knew, he was looking at a large box that was tangled in the chandelier. He sighed. "Damn chandelier." Sirius muttered. "We've got to get rid of it sometime."
