The first time I went over to Alli's house I was sitting on the couch watching a scary movie with her when Sav, her older brother, appeared in the room and tapped Alli on the back.
"Hey Alli."
"Sav! How many times did I tell you not to bug me tonight I have Clare over for the first time and you nearly gave me a heart attack by the way."
"Sorry I just wanted to know if you and you're friend wanted to go on an ice cream run but I guess not," he said and tossed his keys in the air.
"Wow that is so cool how did you do that?"
"Ugh Clare don't encourage him."
"Oh you mean this," he said doing it again, "It just takes practice," he said and winked at me.
"Sure we'll go," Alli said, "But first I need to talk to Clare."
"Alli what's wrong," I asked when she pulled me into the kitchen.
"You like him don't you?"
"Who?"
"My brother."
"Yeah he seems nice and normally I don't think like this but he's pretty cute."
"Ugh he's my brother my senior brother."
"He's a senior?"
"Yeah so you still like him?"
"Yeah."
"Oh my gosh maybe you'll change your mind once you meet him."
But I didn't.
