Demons of The Night

Disclaimer: I do not own the story of Harry Potter, it belongs entirely to J.K. Rowling.

Beneath the towering trees of the Dark Forest lay mysterious happenings. The once plentiful population of wolves was diminishing. Now this may sound not the least bit abnormal to those unfamiliar with the grounds of Hogwarts, but if one were to observe the corpses of these animals one would be in for a great surprise.

As the Hogwarts gamekeeper, Rubeus Hagrid, eventually found, the corpses of these wolves in question had been drained. They had been left to lie lifeless on the ground by something with high intelligence, and partially human. How do I know this you ask? Well, the answer comes simply due to the two puncture wounds on the neck of the diseased wolves. This left only one conclusion as to what had killed the cherished creatures…vampires.

Now there was not just any bunch of vampires behind these killings for it was a special clan. The mentioned vampires belonged to the Nosmirc (AN: noz-mirror-ick) Clan. This clan consisted of merciless beasts, which thrived on human blood, save one, Rehtnap Thgin (AN: ra-he-nep thine), their demonic protector. Rehtnap Thign was not what one would normally consider a demon. He was a boy, on the verge of becoming a man who was half wizard and half vampire. These two bloods mixed forming an incredible sort of magic. You see, Rehtnap Thign (As he was called by his people.) possessed many different attributes: telekinesis, strength, teleportation, mind control and the ability to morph in to a black panther with the wings of a bat. Along with these great abilities though, he suffered a cursed life without hope. For the only human he could ever sustain a life from had to be his mate. And sadly, the question remains unanswered as of to who could love a demon. So unlike other vampires of his clan, he had to suck the blood of his enemy's cherished animal…the wolf.

This enemy was the Moon-Elves, who cherished wolves and worshiped the moon above. They were infuriated by the deaths of such a sacred animal so they therefore created their own protector, Naidraug Ranul (AN: nigh-aid-rauh ray-newl), who grow to take revenge for the clan…once and for all ending the battle between the two. Along with the ability to heal, she would be strong, swift and have an incredible will. She had been granted the form of a pure white wolf with massive white eagle wings. The elves then blest her as a newborn and gave her the mark of the moon, which would forever glow under the moonlit sky. Little did her people know that she had one fear, a fear so great that it could forever change her purpose in life. A fear of being doomed to forever walk the Earth alone. You see, Adhara Stari was a vampire slayer and if one eventually diminished this evil…what would she have left to slay?

Adhara was transferred from her school I America to Hogwarts for her seventh year of school. She had been sent in order to put a stop to the massive slaughtering of her clans beloved wolves. Leaving America, she had been full of spiteful hate for her enemy known as the "Night Panther," but when she found hate slowly turning into love, who will she choose…the love of her life or her people?
