A Young Tale
"Daddy?" "Yes Chelsea?" "can you tell me my bedtime story please?" "of course. do you want me to tell you 'A Young Tale?'" "yes. that one!" i smiled at her she always loved that one. "Long ago there was a princess who would always leave the castle and run wild and free in the meadows with Krystal her husky who went every where with her. the princess's name wa-" "oh! i know daddy! i know! her name was Chelsea! me!" she said with a big grin. i smiled at her. she looked so much like her mother. "yup that's right sweetie. shall i continue the story darling?" Mai asked. "sure you know this part better then I do" i replied. " well one day when princess Chelsea was playing in the meadow, a boy just a little older then her walked into the meadow and asked her if she would play with him." Mai paused a bit to remember the story.
"Chealsea said yes because she was a kind sweet 8 year old child who was friendly... aslo it didnt hurt that she had a mean right-hook that her father taught her one day" mai glared at me cuz she wasnt there and didnt approve of a four year old learning to fight. " 'what's your name' she asked. 'Lin Shibuya... i'm named after my uncle' he said proudly. 'cool! mines chealsea i was named after my aunt" she held her hand out to shake it. Lin stood there looking at it for awhile then shook it. 'so what do you want to do lin?' ' well we could play hide and seek with your doggy if you want?' 'sure. by the way her name is Krystal'" Mai stopped talking and i started talking again.
"so for the rest of the day the two of them played with eachother and getting to know one another better. 'hey i have to go home now' 'aww! that sucks. when do you think we can play again lin?' ' i dunno chealsea. maybe tomorrow after i come back home?' 'wait i got a better idea lin! how bout your daddy meets mine?' sure! i'll ask him. whats you daddy's name?' 'john. john brown' chealsea told lin. ' wait! my daddy's going to a john brown's house tomorrow!' i stopped to catch my breath and saw that chealsea was fast asleep.
"awww we put her to sleep" i stated fondly. "that was the point john" mai said lovingly while brushing my bangs out of my eyes. 'true she was so excited that lin was coming tomorrow for her birthday." i replied as i got up and started walkjing back to our room with mai. "i know those to are inseprable. i cant wait to see yasuhara and masako tomorrow! i haven't seen them in ages." "me either mai, though i hope Monk an Ayako can make it. Chealsea would miss the twins, also Lin and Madoka she just loves her godparents" i stated. as i was climbing in to bed mai was saying goodnight to me i cut her off with a kiss.
After awhile we stopped to catch our breathe. as i was looking at mai i whispered "beautiful." while she was in the moon light "i love you john" mai as she snuggled up to me. " oh and i'm pregnant"" i love y- What!" i felt her smirking against my chest "that's great!" i said as i pulled her closer to me. an i thought of how lucky i was to have mai and how we survived through all the adventures we had at SPR.
