Confessions
awakened at dusk, the full moon is
rising,
around her house I run free.
protecting the night from
creatures roaming,
and other beasts she can't see.
I warm
her fingers and quicken her breathing,
but chill her again with a
kiss.
nights pass and her eyes grow distant,
it is only she I
will miss.
the moon summons tears as a gentle reminder,
and
day by day I grow weak.
I wish that I'd come out and told her,
and
that I wasn't too frightened to speak.
in honor of Jacob; the one she should choose.
