A/N: In the spirit of Christmas, I've decided to do one-shots about my three favorite couples from the show, I'm starting with Cho and Elise, then I am doing Jane and Lisbon, and last, but certainly not least Van Pelt and Rigsby. In this one-shot you will see a softer, and possibly more playful, side of Cho. I hope you enjoy and please review. This is an early Christmas present to all you Mentalist fans.
It was Christmas morning and Kimball Cho woke up to the smell of food coming from the kitchen. He smelled the usual bacon and egg, but he also smelt something else that he couldn't quite identify. Only then did he notice that his girlfriend, Elise wasn't lying next to him. Cho streched, got up, got dressed, and walked into the kitchen. Standing at the stove was Elise. Cho quietly snuck up behind her and covered her eyes with his hands.
"Good morning sleepy head," said Elise.
"Good morning," Cho replied before giving Elise a kiss on the cheek.
"You sure slept in late," Elise responded.
"What time is it?" Cho asked.
"Almost 8:45," Elise answered.
"Wow, that is late," Cho said.
"Well, considering you are off duty, and we had some fun last night, I can't say I blame you," Elise replied.
"Yes, we did have fun," Cho responded.
"Breakfast is ready," Elise said as she pulled out some cinnamon buns from the oven and started frosting them.
Cho tried to take a cinnamon bun from the pan and Elise smacked his hand.
"What was that for?" Cho questioned.
"Wait," Elise replied.
Elise fixed up two plate, one for each of them, and handed one to Cho.
"Let's eat out in the living room."
Cho and Elise took their food into the living room and ate.
"Do you want to open presents now or later?" Elise inquired.
"Whatever you want to do," Cho responded.
Each of them opened three gifts.
"You know, you are one of the hardest people to shop for," Elise said.
"I am?" Cho inquired.
"Yes," Elise replied.
"Well, there is one more present for you," Cho responded.
Elise looked under the tree, but she didn't see anything. "I don't see anything."
"Come here," said Cho.
Elise returned to the couch and Cho handed her a small box. Elise opened it and inside was a ring. It was silver with a medium-small diamond flanked by two smaller diamonds.
"Kimball, what is this?" Elise asked.
Cho took the box, grabbed Elise's hand and got down on one knee. Elise knew what was coming next.
"Elise, will you marry me?" Cho questioned.
"Yes," Elise answered before throwing herself into his arm and giving him a kiss.
After a moment Elise allowed Cho to slip the ring onto her finger.
"Merry Chirstmas," said Cho.
"Merry Chirstmas," Elise replied.
