Nekonabe: Woooo First fanfic, finally worked up the courage~

First things first, this is AU so don't come complaining to me how "They're both the same age" and how "Sasuke's clan died in the Uchiha massacre" 'cause I already know, if I damn well wanted to write about that I would of.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, though I would love to own Sasuke 3

I mean, Who wouldn't want to own Sasuke?

Chapter one: counting stars

My legs and arms were itching like crazy from what must have been hundreds of thousands of mozzie bights, I was colder than Ice in Antarctica and my Stomach was protesting loudly to our decision to wait five minutes longer before heading inside but somehow I was happy. I glanced to my side to see Sasuke smiling happily up at the night sky, his eyes twinkling brightly like the stars he enjoyed watching so much. Me? Well I preferred watching my dark haired beauty. I giggled softly as Sasuke poked me in the ribs, propping myself up on my elbows I tilted my head, silently asking what he wanted, we were like that, some things didn't need words, they were just known between us.

"Hey, Naruto?" Sasuke's soft voice asked, a smile gracing his pale face

"Yeah?" I answered simply, following cobalt eyes up into the moonlit sky.

I watched as Sasuke's eyelids seemed to be getting heavy.

"How many stars are there in the sky?" He almost yawned out, making me grin ear to ear, he was always so cute when he was sleepy and he'd almost never admit to it.

I chuckled at the question, silly Uchiha, always with the pointless questions.

"Baka, I doubt anyone knows." I could tell Sasuke was getting too tired to walk back now; he always did around this time. I sighed inwardly for giving in to the Uchiha and letting him stay out this late. Now jumping up onto my feet I shook my right leg around for a moment, letting the feeling of slight pins and needles fade away.

"Come one Sasuke, let's get you back home." I whispered softly into his ear before scooping him into my arms, carrying bridal style back to my house, a frown forming on my face as I was reminded once again how damn skinny the younger was,

Sasuke snuggled happily into my chest. Tiredly mumbling a few words

"Let's count them together one day"

I felt myself blush at those words; to say I was in love with Sasuke would have to have been the understatement of the year, but I never quite found the courage to speak up about it, I mean, I know he's gay and all… but we've been living together ever since his parents died, that makes us practically brothers. That and Sasuke's sick, really sick, I'm sure love isn't something he has time for right now.

"Sure, whatever you want Sasuke" I spoke, smiling at the raven haired bundle in my arms.

Love; is something he will always receive, even if he doesn't have time for it.
