AN: So the fact that this is completed is surprising, because I wrote the first 3 quarters about 3 months ago, but I found the file and BAM! Finished. So enjoy, just a oneshot.

Tiger Cave

She looked up and all she saw was white - crisp, and unblemished, like a blanket had been draped over the world. The snow crunched under her bare feet, but she didn't feel the cold. A leaf, brown and dead, fell from its branch, the tree now completely bare. She ran, and everything was quiet, as if the snow had muted her actions. She yelled, just to see if she could still speak, and a group of birds scattered at the sound. Her heart was pounding, and her throat was dry. She didn't know what she was running from, but the fear that was rumbling in her stomach told her to keep going. Squeezing her eyes shut, she hummed a tune, forcefully, almost angrily, as if she was trying to block something out.

She stumbled over a tree root, and ploughed into the snow. Opening her eyes, she stood up and brushed herself off. Looking up, she saw a cave and felt the urge to cry. Glancing around, the pure white and the silence of the world around her felt suffocating, and frightening. Unable to hold in the tears, they slide down her cheek. Swiping at the tears, she took a step towards the cave, and stopped. The fear made her chest constrict and she felt pain like she never had. Physical pain didn't match up to this. Staring at the cave, she wanted to defy the fear she felt. She took another step towards the cavern, and staggered with the pain. She felt an itching in the back of her throat, as if something was trying to crawl out.

Continuing to move towards the cave, she shuddered with sobs, and finally collapsed on the think bed of snow. Huddling in a ball, not for warmth, but for comfort and security, she cried. She cried until she had nothing left in her. Sitting there feeling empty, she looked at the sky, free of clouds and colour. Suddenly, she stood, and strode into the cavern defiantly. Shaking her head, her long blonde hair swung behind her. She knelt down beside a large striped rock. She loved this rock, with it's odd pattern of brown and copper; tiger-esque. She sat cross-legged beside the boulder, and hugged herself. Staring at it, tears returned to her eyes. But they were less angry this time, just sad.

She sighed. "Why, why did you have to leave?" She wiped her face on her sleeve. She whispered, "I miss you so much. So, so much." Luna Lovegood stood up, and dashed outside the mouth of the cave, scooping up a handful of snow, and placing it beside the rock. "You always did like snow, Mama."
