WHY SHE LOVES HIM

Maddison. Drabble-ish. Companion to Why He Loves Her.

She loves him because in his eyes she can see something that she's never seen before. Something that makes her want to laugh and cry at the same time.

She loves him because she knows that he would do anything for her. He would go to the moon and back if that meant he could have her.

She loves him because he pretends not to care too much, he pretends to be a player, someone who does everything for a laugh. She knows he isn't.

She loves him because he didn't stop her that night, even though it was against his better judgement and he knew she was going crazy.

She loves him because he always leans that little bit closer to her than is necessary. And she wouldn't ever say anything about it, because he would deny it.

She loves him because he has the biggest ego of any man she's ever met, and he's proud of it. Because he's an arrogant prick most of the time.

She loves him because although he tries not to, he sighs everytime she touches him. He's relieved that she's there.

She loves him because he lied to her about breaking the pact, to save her the pain. He wants to protect her from being the bad one.

She loves him because he came all the way from New York to try to win her back, when he knew, really, that she wouldn't come.

She loves him because he was prepared to give up his best friend, his family, for her love. He put her above everything else.

She loves him because he catches her when she falls. Like the time she ran from the toxic OR, letting him catch her in his arms.

She loves him because he closes his eyes when she kisses him, and she knows he's thinking of forever, regardless of what he says.

She loves him because he gets triumph in his eyes when she talks to him, when she kisses him, and when she sleeps with him.

She loves him because he answered her booty call, and came all the way to Seattle because she'd finally decided he was right all along. And because he decided to stay, even when she didn't want him to.

She loves him because he makes her feel wanted, cared about and loved. Wherever they are, whatever they're doing, he makes sure she knows he loves her.

She loves him because he isn't perfect. Because he makes mistakes, and beats himself up about them afterwards.

She loves him because he accepts that she isn't able to tell him all this, and he loves her anyway.

She loves him because he is.
