Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Bye George!" from Season 5, with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.
One morning, George the steam-roller was waiting for Percy to take him to a new workplace. While he was waiting, he was being rude to Rheaneas and Skarloey.
"Worn out wheels on worn out rails!"
"You need rocks for your roads!" replied Skarloey. "Plus, we're helping you!"
"I always flatten little engines at the scrap yard!" said George.
Then Percy arrived to take George away. He was still rebelling.
"Railway's are horrible! Replace them with roads!"
The little engines were pleased to see him go.
"Rollers are rubbish, so good riddance!" they called.
George grumbled all the way to the old branch line. He was going to turn it into a road.
When he arrived, he became ruder than ever.
"Bumpy track won't make good roads!"
Percy was cross. In fact, he was still fuming when he met Thomas.
"What's up?" asked Thomas.
"It's George! He makes me very cross!"
"Just ignore him!" puffed Thomas.
George was now enjoying himself.
"Ripping up rails is fun!" he exclaimed. "What a life!"
Thomas passed by, but took no notice.
George felt insulted.
"You're a useful blue puffball!" he shouted, but Thomas didn't hear.
At last, the workmen reached the level crossing.
"What shall we do here?"
"Tear it up!" said George.
So they did, but not properly.
Later, Thomas was traveling home on the same line, pulling freight cars full of vegetables. But the signalman had forgotten to warn his driver about the crossing.
"That's nice! We don't need to stop!" said Thomas happily.
"Yes we do!" called his driver. "Look up ahead! The crossing is tarmacked!" He applied the brakes, but it was too late! Thomas derailed and crashed right into a barn!
Next day, Percy told Gordon all about George.
"You're just a small engine" snorted Gordon. "That's why he's rude to you! He wouldn't dare cause any trouble to me!"
Meanwhile, George had been taken to the yards to work. Duck arrived with a train of heavy freight cars.
George was blocking his way, and a car was stuck on the main line.
"Let me through!" demanded Duck.
"No I won't!" snapped George.
"There's no time! Gordon has to pass through too!"
"Then he'll have to wait too!"
Duck's driver went to complain to the stationmaster, but the signalman switched the points, allowing Gordon to pass through!
His passengers were happy, and he was making record time.
"I'm the greatest! Just let watch me fly by!"
He whistled loudly as he approached the station.
Then there was trouble. Gordon noticed a freight car on the line ahead!
"Get out of my way!"
It was no use! Gordon crashed right into the freight car, sending it flying, before it finally broke, by accident!
Gordon was worried that Sir Topham Hatt would be cross. He was cross, but not at Gordon.
"Whoever caused this mess is in huge trouble!"
A few days later, Sir Topham Hatt finally found out that George was the one to blame. When he arrived, he spoke serverly to him
"You have caused so much confusion and delay! I am taking away your roller for one whole week!"
"Yes sir." said George sadly.
"Now we'll get some peace and quiet!" said Percy.
I think George has learned his lesson, don't you?
