Author's Notes: Just a short little one shot I popped of in the Pet Universe. It should go in between Ties that Bind and Confusion. But hey I wrote it sort of backwards since this idea hit today while I was kick boxing with my sergeant. I got revenge on him for trying to drop a barbell on me yesterday. Haha. Jealousy
"Hold on one second. Let me see if my sister and her girlfriend are here." Mitsuru spoke to her new girlfriend. Alice smiled and pushed her long brown hair back.
Mitsuru smiled at her and moved into the pent house allowing Alice to sit on the couch and wait for her to explore to find out where Livia and Alex were. She'd never revealed her past to Alice feeling that they were too new to tell her about all the traumas she'd been through. Though Alice seemed to be willing to accept whatever her petite redheaded girlfriend threw at her Mitsuru didn't want to drag the otherwise happy hyper brunette down over something she herself didn't fully understand.
Her psyche wasn't nearly as badly damaged as Livia's but it still held it's own scars and twists. She knew they were there but unlike Livia she was content to find and sort them out on her own. If she truly needed help she knew she could talk to Alex and Livia both but so far she'd been able to uncover things and make what she could out of them without their help. But if she needed it she knew it was there and that was a nice thing to know.
She knocked on Alex's closed bedroom door and getting no response pushed it open. She didn't say a word though she smiled at the sight that greeted her. Alex and Livia had obviously taken the term lazy Sunday to an extreme depending on what way you looked at it. They were curled up in bed obviously naked though ever present around Livia's neck the beautiful metal collar Alex had made for her. They were curled up tightly, their limbs tangled in the sheets even their hair seemed to be tangled together. She noticed immediately the content smile on Livia's face even though she was fast asleep.
She felt a flash of something like jealousy flash through her at the sight of that. She enjoyed living with Livia and Alex and knew she would like to remain with them but it was still hard to feel like a third wheel in your own home. It was something she always used to feel when she would find Jocelyn holding Livia on her lap or just petting her gently while she spoke to someone else or on the phone. It had been hard for her because she'd been in Livia's position and loved every moment of it. It was hard now knowing that though she didn't want Alex the way she had Jocelyn she still hadn't quite found the perfect someone.
She didn't realize Alice was standing next to her until she felt arms go around her waist. She was drawn back to the taller woman's chest and held close. Alice was a dancer, she was tall and lithe and her body was hard in all the right places, soft in others. She felt a kiss pressed to her cheek and smiled. Maybe there was no reason to feel this jealousy. She had someone who cared for her right here.
"They're beautiful together. Your sister and her girlfriend. I hope we can look like that one day."
Mitsuru bit her bottom lip though she was smiling happily at the sweet words Alice had spoken so softly to her.
"We will." And she knew those words to be the truest she had ever spoken.
