I know that its usually frowned upon to post something about an orginal character unless its a story about them, but I couldn't help myself. I'm not expecting to get a great deal of reviews, although I would be very happy if anyone would offer me some feedback on this piece.

I wrote this using the format of an "I am" poem, but I tweaked a bit. I know that nobody likes to read these notes, but this is actually important to read if you want to understand, and the character better, the piece better.

The First Stanza: A basic description of William's childhood. He was the younger twin of Anne Boleyn and it was said that he was always one step behind his twin (an opinion that continued to be held through out his life). He was the beloved of all his siblings because they knew that they could trust him with anything and that he would always try to fix their problems. He never seemed to be able to please his father, however, since William never approved of the way he treated people due to his ambitions.

The Second Stanza: Describes the part of William's life when his sister was rising to power. He began a secret relationship with Katherine of Aragon while pretending that he was spying on her for his family.

Third Stanza: Tells of what happened to William after his family fell fromg grace. He managed to keep his head along with his status at court.

I hope you that you like this and if you have any questions about the character feel free to ask them.

I am the youngest of the Boleyn siblings, always one step behind my beloved twin.

I wonder if I will ever manage to find my proper place in this world.

I hear the secrets that my siblings whisper into my ears with the assurance that I shall never breathe a word.

I see the wonders that reside within the various royal courts that my father brings me to.

I am the youngest of the Boleyn siblings, always one step behind my beloved twin.

I pretend to spy on the Queen of England for the benefit of my family.

I feel as though my heart has been torn into two separate pieces, with one half belonging to Anne while the other lies within in the hands of Katherine.

I touch the lips of my lover whenever it's possible for us to steal a rare private meeting together.

I worry that someone will see through my deception.

I cry in the privacy of my chambers when I learn that the woman I loved has died in her cruel banishment.

I am the most trusted companion of the rising queen and the lover of the one that she conquered.

I understand that my family has lost everything that they strived in their cold ambition to gain.

I say that my loyalty lies with the king and the woman that will soon take the place of my sister upon the throne.

I dream of the happy times that are long since passed, when I truly believed as Anne did that we stood on the edge of a golden world.

I try to don the masks that I wore so well in the past and learn to live without my other half.

I am the only Boleyn to be saved from scandal, the twin of the queen that has lost her head.

I am William Boleyn.
