It is...hideously short. I'm still getting the hand of writing again, so I'm sorry if it sounds a bit OOC. Ayyt.

Another Heart Calls

"I'll never ask for anyone but you," A woman with long, curly dark hair cascading down her back whispered to the man beside her. They were lying under the stars, fingers intertwined. They were just newlyweds, married the week before, but the feeling of just being together felt overwhelming, as if it was the best thing in the world – and to Rodolphus and Bellatrix, it was. They spent every waking moment together; this was so for their first week.

Bellatrix rolled on her stomach, looking up at her husband's face, Rodolphus' had his eyes closed, his finger playing with her hair, but when he felt her gaze on him he opened his eyes. Grey locked with brown. They stared into each other's eyes for a while, not saying anything, though there was divine beauty in them. They looked like they were in bliss, just happy that they were together.

She noticed that he hasn't said anything about what she said – but Bellatrix wasn't one to worry. She was strong, she knew he loves her, he just had to. Finally, breaking the silence, the corners of his mouth pulled up into a smile and he caressed her face. "And the same goes for me." Bellatrix actually let a relieved smile grace her features and before she knew it, Rodolphus had pulled her into a hug. They now lay on their backs, Bellatrix cuddling into her new husband.

"The stars are beautiful..." Bellatrix murmured, looking at the night sky. They were beautiful, mesmerizing, entrancing.

As if it was his line, truly meaning what he was going to say Rodolphus kissed her forehead softly. "For a girl who was named after one of the stars, you live up to it. You're just as beautiful as them,"

But their love, it did not last. It was on their first meeting with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, the Dark Lord. Bellatrix had seemed so nervous, but just as he had finished his drawl about equality being unfair, inequality triumphing, there was a new spark in her eyes. She didn't feel the pain as the mark was burned into her skin. She just loved the feeling of being close to him. She loved the way he looked at all of them, at her, with those cold red eyes; the way he spoke...She loved everything about the Dark Lord. For Bellatrix, it was love at first sight. She had forgotten about everything else.

She had forgotten about Rodolphus who stood just besides her, taking in the look of pure pleasure in his wife's eyes. Rodolphus refused to believe it, that Bellatrix, his Bella, loved somebody else. But reality didn't spare him.

Bellatrix does love somebody. And it wasn't him. As he looked at his reflection in the mirror, he could see Bellatrix's sleeping figure, the blankets around her, and unlike before, Bellatrix was facing the opposite direction of where Rodolphus slept.

The sad look that could be found in the man's eyes was nothing compared to how he felt. Whatever happened to not loving anyone else? But he knew, oh Rodolphus knew that he did not stand a chance against the Dark Lord Voldemort – whether it be a duel or just for Bellatrix's love...He knew he had lost. He knew that her heart was calling for someone else, that it wasn't him, and as he buried his face in his hands, his body shaking a bit, he just had to think, had to mutter that soft promise before..."I'll never ask anyone but you."
