It's been two months since Tenshi started living with Kurama. Tenshi was learning to read and write through Kurama and Genkai. Kurama took Tenshi to the temple everyday before school and picked him up after school before he returned home for the day.
Shiori knew about Tenshi, ears and all and accepted him. "Tenshi, Suichi; dinner's ready" Shiori called up to them. As they came down someone knocked on the door. "I'll get it mother" Kurama said before Shiori could step out from the kitchen. Shiori nodded and went back to tending to the rest of dinner. Kurama answered the door and saw someone standing there in a cloak with a hood. "May I help you?" he asked. "I'm looking for my son" she said. "Who's your son?" Kurama questioned. She held up a picture of Tenshi and showed it to him. "Tenshi, could you come here for a moment please?" Kurama called. Tenshi did as he was asked and stood next to Kurama. "Nani Suichi, what is it?" he asked "Tenshi!" said the person in the cloak. "Mama?" Tenshi asked backing away a little. "Come here aka-chan" said the woman. "No, you're not my mother. Your scent is different, you smell of blood...my mother never smelled like that EVER!!!" he spit at her. "Honey, please don't be like this" she begged. "Suichi, is everything alright in there?" Shiori called. "Fine mother" he called back. "Okay if your really mama, tell me where you left me and what you toldme two months ago" he countered. Kurama looked at Tenshi. "Good plan kiddo" he said. "I left you at the park but I didn't tell you anything" she said. "HA! Shows how much you know, you left me at Meiou High and you told me that you love me and to behave myself" he said. She growled at him and tried to grab him. He screamed and backed up. "Tenshi, go see Shiori now!" Kurama demanaded. The demon growled as Kurama escorted her outside.
"That was an awful trick you pulled on him" Kurama said. The demon transformed and showed his true form. "SHOTGUN!" Yusuke yelled as Kurama dodged the attack. "Huh?" the demon said as he turned around as the attack hit him. Shiori started to go to the window but Tenshi stopped here. "No, don't!" he said grabbing her hand. Shiori stopped and sat down with him. "Please let Suichi take care of this" Tenshi begged her. Shiori nodded and held Tenshi by her side. Kuwabara finished off the demon...or so he thought he did. As he turned around to his friends the demon's arm was reaching out to grab him. "ROSEWHIP!" said Kurama as he aimed his whip at the demon's arms and enclosed it on him. The demon screamed and Kuwabara ducked out of the way.
"I don't know what you're trying to prove" the demon said. Kurama glared at him as he put a smoke screen up to mask his scent and thoughts. He made a copy of himself and kept the real version of himself hidden. As the demon hit the Kurama copy, Kurama walked out unharmed. "What is this?" the demon asked. "It's a sinning tree. It will kill it's host for all the sins they have committed in their lifetime" Kurama said walking towards the demon. The demon listening and started screaming. As Kurama walked away the tree continued to suck the life of the demon.
Kurama thanked everyone for their help and went into the house unharmed. "Tenshi, mother?" Kurama called out. "In here Suichi" Shiori said from the kitchen. Kurama went in and check on thme. "Are you two alright?" he asked. "Hai" they both said. He helped them both up and made them both some tea. They all sat at the table in silence.
