This is about the millionth story I've written, but the second one I've posted. It's a late valentines day thing I decided to do, I hope you enjoy!

The Last Rose
"Eleven red roses, please," the fiery red head said to the woman behind the counter at the flower shop a few blocks from his apartment.
"Eleven?" she asked in an annoying tone as she furrowed her eyebrows at the tall red head, "don't you mean twelve? For you know... a dozen?"
"I said what I meant so hurry up" he replied, slightly agitated.
The woman rolled her eyes and got the flowers, mumbling about cheap boyfriends. He paid for the flowers and left the shop, the bell above the door loudly ringing as he exited.
"Roxas! Roxas! Open Up!" the red head yelled as he pounded on the young blondes door.
"Axel?" the blond asked as he opened the door, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, "What are you doing here? It's like.. 7 in the morning.." he yawned.
"6 actually, but that doesn't matter!" Axel smiled, revealing perfect white teeth, "I couldn't wait to see you Roxy, tonight was so far away."
Roxas sighed and stepped away from the door, "I'm going back to sleep Axel " he shut the door in the grinning Axel's face and headed back to bed.
"Aww, come on Roxy, open the door!" Axel pouted, "I just wanted to give you your valentine"
A moment of silence passed before the door opened again and Roxas poked his head out, "You got me something?"
The red head gasped in surprise, "Of course I did Roxy, did you think I wouldn't?"
"Well no, I just-" the blonde was cut off by a pair of lips covering his own.
"Happy Valentines Day, Roxas" Axel said after pulling away from the blonde, placing a dozen roses into Roxas' hands, "I love you till the last rose dies, got it memorized?" he grinned.
A week later all but one rose had withered away, leaving a never dying plastic rose.
