If you've read Starlight, you probably know that I love writing about Renesmee and Jacob. Starlight didn't really work out, so this is just a beginning, and I'm just experimenting. If you like the idea, please review and tell me if you think I should continue! It will go through Jacob and Renesmee's time as best friends, and eventually it will turn into a love story. I love this place where the story is set, (I've been there!) and I have really good memories, so this story is kind of a mix of my good memories with Twilight! This is really special to me! When we lived in Forks, I always felt out of place. I never felt like I belonged anywhere, because I was only half-vampire, half-human, and I wasn't a werewolf at all. I had some issues, and I was somewhat insecure with being one of a kind in such a big group of "mythical creatures".
So my vampire family decided that it was time to move somewhere where no one else was. We moved to a small part of a sunny island called Catalina, just off the coast of southern California. The sun didn't matter, since no one lived on the south side of the island.
I love it here! We live in this small valley called Howland's Landing. There is a tiny cove with small cliffs, and a beach with light waves and so many beautiful fish! Then there are mountains, covered in green grass, with cherry trees below the hills in a miniature canyon with a small brook flowing through the bushes. There's so much to do here, and so many places to explore!
This place makes me feel better, because it's just my family and me, and Jacob, my best werewolf friend. We don't have to hide here, because there are no humans for miles, so we're free to bathe in the sun all day long, and we can hunt in the forests without fearing being seen by anyone.
