Okay, this is my first Ghost Hunt fic, so be nice... But tell me if there's anything I need to improve on, okay?

It was near midnight, and in a small office in Shibuya, Tokyo, two people still remained. Lin had already gone home, and the rest of SPR was long gone. Mai had remained to help Naru with the filing and other jobs that had to be done, or that was their excuses anyway. To be honest, Neither Mai nor Naru knew what Mai was still doing here at midnight.

Naru sat at his desk, reading silently. No noise came from outside his office. No scuffling, no whispering, no flipping pages, no opening draws, nothing. Had Mai finally learned what silence was? Would this be for the better?

Deciding that it was far too good to be true, Naru opened his office door and walked into the main room. And yes, he was correct. It was Mai, for goodness sake. She'd never change.

Mai was on the couch, half of her body lying down and the rest sitting. That was a very uncomfortable position to fall asleep in. Her body raised and fell as she breathed, her brown hair lit by the lights outside and the one coming from his office.

Naru got to his knees and leaned over her, soaking in her angelic features. She was truly beautiful, and it had become quite hard for him to take his eyes off of her.

"Mai.." Naru whispered. She moaned and opened her eyes, gasping upon seeing her boss kneeling over her once again. She gazed into his striking sapphire eyes, his perfect skin pale and his hair pitch black.

"N-Naru!! Did I fall asleep?!" She said, her voice very loud. Naru nodded. She blushed.

"I'm sorry..."

"It's alright. It's very late."

"But I am a very horrible assistant if I fall asleep at work..." Mai said.

"It's no change then usual..." Naru said, then realizing what he had said after it had soaked into Mai's head. She shook in anger then turned away from him.

"Well, if that's what you think, then maybe I should go home?!" She got to her feet and walked over to her desk, graceful even when she was angry. She grabbed her things and placed them in her bag, keeping her eyes closed in anger, making sure that she didn't look at Naru.

She slipped her bag over her shoulder and walked to the door. She was just about to turn the doorknob when-

"Wait."

Mai clenched her fist. Why couldn't he make up his mind?! First he was being the arrogant narcissist that he always was, and now he was trying to make her wait?! Well, maybe he was going to be arrogant in the next sentence. And she had the perfect remark for him.

"Why should I? All the administrative work is done, and this place is as clean as it's going to get. Why?"

"Please, stay."

That she was not ready for. Her hand slipped from the doorknob and she clutched her schoolbag. Why? Why couldn't he be either arrogant non-stop of kind non-stop? Why did he have to keep switching between the two?! Sure, he was handsome but-

Naru got to his feet and walked over to her, putting his hands on the door behind her.

"Why?" She asked again, trying to focus on keeping her legs from melting.

"Because I want you too..." Naru said, and he moved closer, and put his lips on hers.

He may be handsome but...

Mai wrapped her arms around her boss and brought herself halfway to his height.

But....

Naru removed his hands from the door and brought Mai closer to him, her figure melding into his.

But...

Mai put her hand in Naru's hair and he put one of his arms around her waist and they moved back from the door.

But....

They fell to the couch and Mai pressed her lips closer to his, her body perfectly melded into his, moving with him, combining with him.

But....

The two clutched each other to themselves, alone, with nothing to do, each keeping their eyes locked into the eyes of the other.

.......Oh who cares......

Again, any tips on this will be welcomed. But don't be too harsh... Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it.
