The Nightmare Before Courage:
Chapt. 1: Courage's Halloween
It was Halloween in Nowhere, Kansas. Courage the Cowardly Dog and his 2 owners, Eustace and Muriel Bagg, were preparing for the holiday. Actually, the only two who weren't participating were Eustace and Courage. The reason was Eustace was always crabby and Courage hated Halloween because he was scared of monsters and other creeps! Muriel, however loved Halloween and Courage had no choice but to join in. This Halloween night, however, was about to change Courage's life forever! For their costumes, Muriel was a chubby but pretty princess, Courage was The Cowardly Lion from "The Wizard of Oz", and even Eustace dressed up, as a gorilla. Muriel had lots of caramel apples and candy for the kids. As night fell trick or treaters came from the town to the Bagg's farm with lots of candy. Then later on a stranger came to Nowhere, and he was heading to the farm! Courage was busy giving candy to the kids, until the stranger showed up! Courage and the trick or treaters screamed at what they saw, a tall, scrawny, pale, skeleton, with a scary looking suit and bat bow tie! He said, "Do any of you know where I can find Courage?" Courage had met monsters before but not ones like this! Then the skeleton said, "My name is Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of HalloweenTown!" Courage was confused, until one of the trick or treaters said, "That guy is from The Nightmare Before Christmas!" The trick or treaters were amazed! They thought he was imaginary! When Muriel and Eustace came out, they were frightened! But Courage explained everything. Muriel was ok, but Eustace hid under his truck like a sissy! Jack had come for Courage, because he needed his help back in Halloween Town!
