I don't own Naruto.

Note: Sasori is not a puppet in this fic.

"Ah-choo!" Deidara shivered, inching closer to the fire.

Sasori sighed, worrying about his partner's health and sanity. "Get any closer and you'll get burned."

Deidara glared at him. "I don't care. You should try having a freakin' cold in this weather, un!"

He did have a point. The weather wasn't being very friendly today; it was freezing, signaling the end of autumn and the start of winter.

"Hn."

"Oh, wait. You can't. Because you're always inside your puppet, and puppets don't get sick," he spat. "Lucky bastard."

Sasori sighed again and rolled his eyes. "Whatever."

Deidara sneezed again. "Danna, help me," he moaned helplessly.

"C'mere." Sasori patted the empty space beside him. Deidara crawled to Sasori's side.

The puppeteer wrapped his arms around his partner. The latter's eyes widened in surprise, but snuggled into the warmth, sighing happily.

"Brat."

"Hm?"

"You called me brat."

"Yeah, I did. Back then, you were still a kid, the Akatsuki's little brother."

Deidara laughed at the memory. "Danna, why aren't you calling me that anymore?"

"Because that kid grew up already. And it's also because of your hair."

Deidara frowned. "What's wrong with my hair?"

"It covers your left eye...but I like it."

The blonde laughed. "Really?"

"I still like it, but.."

"But what?"

Sasori brushed the hair out of Deidara's left eye. "I like it better when it's this way."

Deidara blushed at the contact, his heart beating erratically. Sasori noticed and smirked.

He kissed the blonde's forehead. "Get some sleep. I'll be a little preoccupied."

"Okay." Deidara moved to let Sasori stand up, but he didn't. "I thought-?"

"Just sleep."

"Fine." Deidara's cerulean eyes fluttered shut.

I'll be preoccupied watching you sleep.
