Title: Moonlight

Rating: k+

Summery: There were nights when Marie wondered why Magneto's machine didn't kill her, sometimes when it got really bad she wished it did.

Disclaimer: lies, all lies!

A/N: I wrote this while listing to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, so it took me about six minutes and I would love it if you guys would tell me if it reads like it was written fast.

I'm also trying to look for a Beta but I hate doing that because I feel like I'm being rude by busting in and going 'hey be my beta?'. I feel like I should give them flowers and a box of chocolate hearts while I'm at it. So if you guys would bear with me or if one of you would be willing I'd love you ever so much.

There were nights when Marie wondered why Magneto's machine didn't kill her, sometimes when it got really bad she wished it did. Summer days spent in jeans and long sleeves, sweating when she went out into the sun, not even the thinnest of materials could help her stay cool. So she'd stand in the doorway, staring out into the bright sunlight as her so called friends and her so called boyfriend splashed and made fools of themselves in the cool water and she watched with her heart heavy that always seemed a little bit colder.

Logan could sometimes make it better, steal her away in the middle of the night for a swim when there was no one around, he would be the one covered from neck to feet and hold her bare hand in his gloved one as took her out into the woods behind the mansion and let her run free in the moonlight like she couldn't do in the sunlight.

His Moon Goddess he called her when they were alone and there was no chance of anyone over hearing them and it was during times like those that she was ever so grateful that the machine didn't kill her, that her mutation kicked in and barrowed Logan's so that she could live longer and that she and this semi feral man could forge a strange little life together.
