"Hey Natsu." The blonde mage greeted.
"Morning Lucy!" He replied. The celestial wizard was walking towards the bar where Natsu was and noticed something weird.
"Whatcha' got there Natsu?" Lucy moved her eyebrow questioningly and tried to steal a glance at the item.
"This?" Natsu took out a dark blue, hard-cover book that still had plastic on it meaning it was new. Lucy almost jaw dropped at the sight of the book. When she tried to grab it, Natsu pulled the book away and observed the cover.
"I got this as part of a reward for a mission I took. I had to help this guy move stuff around his book store and to keep thieves out."
"What? Why didn't you take me with you?! That sounded like a perfect job for me! Plus, do you even know how many stores I've gone to just to look for this sold out book!?" Lucy pouted and kept trying to reach for the book.
"Sorry Luce. I needed the money to buy something I didn't know the price of ,so..." Natsu peeked over at Lucy only to see her pouting in a cute manner. He chuckled at her and stood up.
"W-what? Where are you going?" She asked.
"I was going to look for someone to give the book to. Not like I want it or anything." When he was walking away someone gripped his left hand. He laughed knowing who it was and turned around. He blushed like crazy to find an also blushing Lucy that looked very shy right now.
"Can I...have it?" Natsu was still lightly blushing but it hid on his tan skin.
"Hehe. You know I'm just kidding right Luce?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, what day do you think it is?" Natsu began to laugh.
"Umm..."
"It's Valentines Day silly. I know I'm a few days late, but since you gave me a present...here!" Natsu brought out his toothy grin and gave her the book. Lucy was now flustered and speechless.
"I don't know what to say. But, thanks soo much Natsu." Lucy took the present and kissed him on the cheek shyly. She looked at him and blushed again.
"Happy V-Valentines Day!" Then, Lucy ran out the doors of the guild. Natsu smirked and ran after her.
"I think she's finally falling for me!" He screamed enthusiastically. Everyone in the guild could only laugh at the two idiot partners.
Sorry! I know it's no longer Valentines Day, but still! I hope someone actually enjoys this crummy one-shot. I didn't really like this one but I thought that my time would be a waste if I didn't put this up. Please review and read! Thank you! :3
