WARNING! There are a ton of spoilers of the movie and the book. So if you haven't, go read the book and watch the movie, because they're awesome. If you're not going to see the movie because you heard it was different, well go see it anyway. It was good.

I went to go see Beautiful Creatures on Valentine's Day and I actually thought it was pretty good. I really liked it despite the changes. I thought it was funny and that the acting was great. I laughed and I teared up a bit. I almost started crying at the part where Lena found out how to fix the curse and was telling Ethan to leave, even though I didn't know why yet. She just looked so sad. I even got goosebumps during the visions with the locket and in the end when Lena has one gold eye and Ethan screams her name. I also loved the conversations between Ethan and Lena and that they included one of her poems. Even if they didn't have her notebook.

There were a lot of parts I didn't like, mostly because it was different from the book. I understand that it's a big book and that they had to cut some things, but they didn't need to change the whole curse and ending. I didn't like how they said Macon was a castor and how they didn't have Boo in it at all. Also I'm pretty sure that they didn't mention how every castor has their own specific power, like persuasion with Ridley, or illusions with Larkin. Speaking of Larkin, they never showed that he was really on Serafine's side and they didn't have Hunting at all. I'm confused on how Ridley gave Link powers or however he made that bullet appear. Did anybody get that? If so, could you please explain it to me? Another thing I didn't get was how Link was still Ethan's friend or even alive at the end. I thought Lena killed him. And if he's alive, wouldn't he remember that he killed Ethan? Anyway, I think that they should have had more of Link and Ethan as friends because it didn't seem like there was a lot of them. They could've at least mentioned the Twinkie thing because it would've made it seem like they were really best friend for a long time. I also would have liked more of the bullying at school, because that was one of my favorite parts of the book. It would have shown how much of an outsider Lena was to everyone, not just Emily and Savannah. Also, did anyone else notice that in the first trailer, it showed a huge mob that wasn't even in the movie? They didn't even have the song! That was a big disappointment. They also didn't have a good connection between Ethan and his parents. It almost seemed as if he didn't really care about it to me. They never explained her necklace and its importance either. That kind of made me angry. I'm sure that there are more differences I just can't remember them right now.

I wasn't really angry by these changes; I was more worried about how they were going to continue with it, if they can. What did you think about the movie? What did you like and dislike? I want to hear other people's opinions on it. There's a poll on my page if you want to vote on wheter you like it or not.
