She didn't notice the frequent changes until she could no longer ignore them. She had been too self-absorbed, too selfish. Everything in her life and everything around her, was changing. She just wanted one piece to hold onto. Something steady, stationary.

"Hoggle, I need you." She said quietly.

"Ya called, missy?" He almost looked worried, but he knew what to expect.

The tone in her voice, the tears in her eyes, the way she twisted and wrung the tissue in her hands; they were all clues. They gave her away. She gave herself away.

Hoggle did the only thing he could do. He put his hand on her shoulder.

At this, Sarah's sobs became louder and the tears in her eyes began to flow freely.
