Albus Dumbledore sat in his office, twiddling his thumbs.
It was another school year to look forward to, and another year to begin something new and exciting. However, he had quite the dilemma on his hands. Only two weeks into school, and there was something missing, a spark of life that was obviously absent.
He frowned and thought, twiddled his thumbs and sighed. The answer was also blindingly obvious, but he didn't know why it bothered him so. As a good headmaster, Albus praised himself on being level headed, and being able to accept change within the school. But changes were not always expected, and Albus found this particular change quite unsettling.
Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy were not fighting.
Full stop.
To be honest, the fighting had stopped at the end of last year, just a week before the summer holidays, but Albus had not paid any attention to it. At the time he had reasoned that both boys must have been tired from continuously baiting each other for a whole year, and wanted a rest until the next.
But now it was just getting ridiculous.
Albus was getting worried, and it was completely unreasonable for him to do so. And so for a long time, he sat at his table, twiddling, frowning and sighing. In the end, he stood up slowly, and drew out his wand, tapping the office wall three times.
"Hogwarts is always watching," He murmured, eyes twinkling slightly. "They can't escape from me just yet."
