Unfolding wings and soaring high,

The Phoenix sings his lullaby.

For the one who fell, for those who stay,

For those who're here or far away;

For the one who chose to walk in shade,

Though long ago light commenced to fade.

Cherry blossoms will murmur the words

That one wants to hear while it hurts.

The winds will carry the lament through time

To martyrs and killers, through burial and crime.

When all is quiet, and soon you'll be too,

The Phoenix will be crying only for you.

When home is lost and all has changed,

When children are born, and dead have been venged,

When there is nothing left for you here

The dirge of sky will soothe your fear.

You'll raise your eyes and see, soaring high,

The Phoenix singing your lullaby.
