Elena put her car in park in front of Stefan's massive house. She would have had to drive an extra ten minutes to make it back to her place, but her exhaustion began to effect her driving. She hated driving at night to begin with, but add being tired, and she was terrified. Luckily, she pulled over right near his driveway, and decided to drive the extra 300 feet in order to go to ask him for help.

Elena gently tapped the door three times. It was past midnight, and she prayed he would still be awake. Luckily, he was.

The door swung open to reveal her boyfriend, clearly startled by a visitor at this hour.

"Elena, is everything alright?"

Stefan stepped forward and put his hands on either side of her face. She melted at his touch.

Elena nodded.

"I'm sorry, I'm just really tired and was afraid to drive any further."

Stefan took her into his arms, understanding her reasoning wholeheartedly. She leaned against his body heavily. Stefan held her weight. He could practically feel the exhaustion seeping off of her. So he picked her up, and brought her to his room. Stefan gently places her on his bed and began taking off her shoes.

By the time he looked up at her again, Elena's eyes were closed and her breathing was even.

Stefan picked up his phone and called Elena's house.

"Hello?"

"Hey Jenna, it's Stefan."

"Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, yeah, its just, Elena just showed up at my house because she was afraid of driving while being so tired. And now she's asleep here so is it alright if she stays her tonight?"

Jenna laughed. "Sure, its fine. Thank you for calling me."

"No problem. Goodnight."

With that, Stefan slid into bed beside his girlfriend, stroking her hair so lightly as she slept, as if she were made of glass.
