It was late at night when a scared little girl was chased by a dog. She runs in every corner she sees, but, suddenly she hit the wrong corner. It was a dead end. The dog was coming right at her she couldn't do anything, but to scare herself to death.
"P-please help me." The little girl cried as she seats at the corner. She didn't know what to do she can't move where she's standing. Her body is trembling so bad. The dog was about to go near at her, but there's a rock that hit the dog and made the dog run. "Are you okay?" said the girl who save her.
The girl could only nod. "I'm Kousaka Honoka, how about you?" The girl, Honoka, grinned she was shining brightly like a sun in the girl's eyes. "I- I'm N-n-nishikino M-maki." Her words are stuttering but it was given since she's really scared.
"Let's be friend, Maki-chan!" Honoka reached her hand to help Maki to stand up. "Sure" Maki replied to her.
"So where's your house?" Honoka asked. She saw Maki look down.
"Maki-chan?"
"I live in an orphanage. I think my parents don't like me. They've just leave me at orphanage after all." Maki saddened.
"You live in an orphanage too? Maybe we're in the same orphanage! Don't worry, maybe your parents have a reason for that" Honoka exclaimed happily. She isn't sad? Why she's so happy? Maki thought for a while. She doesn't know why Honoka's too positive about it.
"Ne, Honoka why are you so happy? It must be sad right... Not knowing your family, I mean." Maki exclaimed. "Because I have friends, and you are my friend too!" Honoka grinned. Maki understood what Honoka says. For the first time, Maki smiled. The brightest smile she ever done, not fake, but real. The way that Honoka saw her smile her heart starts to beat faster, heat forming on her face. 'Why my heart starts to beat faster?' Honoka thought. Well she wouldn't discover that feelings yet.
"What's your favorite thing to do, Maki-chan?" Honoka asked.
"Playing Piano." Maki stated.
"Then lemme here your song someday!"
"Sure"
"Let's go back now Maki-chan."
"Okay, Honoka."
The two girls walk silently back to their orphanage hand in hand.
"The next day I got my foster mother and father so I didn't have the time to say goodbye to her." The red-haired girl said.
"That's some amazing story nya!" The energetic girl said.
"But somehow it's sad." The girl who's eating rice followed.
"Ne, Do you think she can still remember me?" Maki asked the two girls.
"Of course nya!" The energetic girl replied.
"How can you be so sure?" Maki said.
"And you're the one who's asking a question here." They all laughed on what the brunette said. But not that long Maki made a sigh and her face saddened.
"Don't worry, Maki-chan." The brunette said.
With her brightest smile on the energetic girl said, "Kayo-chin's right. Don't worry about it nya! Of course she still remembers you. You're friends, that's why."
"Thanks Hanayo,Rin."
In Rin's word Maki realized something. That's right we're friends. I wish we'll meet again soon.
