Web of Jealousy

I own nothing...darn it

Scientists, there they were hovering together, shoulder to shoulder talking in excited voices. Writing notes in little books while referencing other books.

They were plotting against him. Maybe not against him but they were blocking him out. He was a General for crying out loud and he wasn't allowed to help plan.

Okay, so maybe he broke something the last time he had tried to help; but it wasn't his fault. How was he to know it was that fragile.

Daniel says he is jealous. Jealous, of that, NO. Jack O'Neill, was not jealous!

Right?

Maybe?

Okay, so he was.

Jack just loved to spend time with his daughter, even though he got to spend more time with her than Sam did. At 6 years old she was growing so fast; he just wanted to do everything with her, even if it was a Science Fair project.

"Daddy."

"Yeah, baby bird." Jack answered as she climbed onto his lap. All dressed up and ready for bed he took a look at her. She looked so much like Jack it was scary but her brains and expressions were all Sam.

"You said we were going to start Charlotte tonight." She said as she passed the book in her hand towards him. He did promise after finishing "Winnie the Pooh" last night that the next book on the list was Charlotte's Web.

"You're right." Jack said as he grabbed his reading glasses and placed his baby bird into a better reading position. "'Charlotte's Web' by E.B. White." As he settled in to reading Chapter 1 of one of Charlie's favorite books he realized that Sam may have the science but Jack had the best part of parenting.

Period.
