Prompt: The Mirror of Erised ... what a person see in it, a person thinking of what he/she saw in it, what he/she may see in it... Anything, as long as it involves the Mirror of Erised.

200 words.

Red-gold curls cascade down around a face of young, virginal beauty. The girl smiles, perfect teeth and glittering eyes shine up at the man. He smiles too – a secret sort of smile that makes her feel warm and tingly in shameful places.

The man bends his head down towards the girl. His aristocratic good looks and the sparkling wit in his eyes are almost too much for her to take. The man's warm lips brush the girl's, and the warm, tingly feeling becomes shockingly prominent.

But the kiss is a brief one, and as he pulls away, she feels the sudden cold, even though the girl seems perfectly happy.

And suddenly, more than anything, she knows what she wants. And the man's arms are around the girl, and his mouth is on hers, and the pleasure seems endless, endless…

"Tom," she moans.

The sound startles her, even though it was she who made it.

The name seems to cause a sudden shift. The man – Tom – pulls away from the girl, his eyes glinting with red malice.

She reaches out towards him, but just as she thinks I'll get to him this time! her fingers hit glass, and she wakes up.

Now, when I started writing this, I had Hepzebah Smith in mind, but once I'd read it over, I saw that Ginny would work equally well - if perhaps more disturbingly - as the girl. So, I'll leave who the girl is up to you, my dear reader.

I do love reviews, you know...
