She's perfect.

She's the most amazing girl he's ever met, and she's not his. Bolin will never be able to hold her tiny frame the way his brother can.

As Korra walked down the aisle with her white wedding dress, blue engagement necklace, and red peonies, Bolin couldn't help but gasp.

She's beautiful.

Korra flashed the earth bender a smile before turning her eyes to the groom. Mako was looking at her future wife just as intensely, his red scarf swaying with every movement he made. His hair was combed back and his black suit was wrinkled due to his nervous fidgeting, but when Mako looked at Korra, he smiled.

He's perfect.

He's the most wonderful person she's ever met, and he's not hers.

Asami was wearing a red dress. Her hair was wrapped in a glorious updo, but she wished Pema let her keep her hair down, so she can hide behind her locks and cry.

When Korra handed her the bouquet in order to exchange rings with Mako, Asami couldn't help but break into tears. She could feel the warm trail the saltwater made on her cheeks. Why couldn't it be her standing next to Mako today? She thought he loved her…

Looking straight ahead, Asami saw a pair of green eyes mirroring her own. She then realized that Bolin still loved Korra. They're both still pining over love that wasn't meant to be. No matter how many years have passed, neither can let it go.

Bolin and Asami didn't let each other go during the reception. They held on to each other tightly as they danced, afraid to let go and break down completely.

As Mako and Korra whirled past them, Asami rested her head on Bolin's shoulder, breathing in his scent. He was always there for her when things between her and Mako got bad, and he's still there for her now.

Ignoring the onlookers and the gaze of the newlywed couple, Bolin stopped waltzing. Puzzled and embarrassed at her dance partner's sudden choice to stop, Asami gave Bolin a questioning glance.

Bolin then kissed her temple and sweetly demanded, "Let's clear the smoke out of our eyes and move on."

Oh, so I smile and say
When a lovely flame dies
Smoke gets in your eyes
