The Boating trip

Hermione's P.O.V.

"Today's just a beautiful day," I yelled with glee.

"Yeah," Harry added oddly.

"Very warm," added Ron, sheepishly.

"I'm confused, why are we talking about how warm it is," Ron asked with loads of confusion in his voice.

"Because I was gonna ask if you guys wanted to go boating this afternoon. You know it's so warm, and it would be a nice way to ease up after double Potions with Snape." I finished.

"I'm all for it," Ron yelled right after I said got out 'Snape'. "Sure," added Harry.

"'Kay, meet you guys at the lake today at six, now we better hurry or we'll be late for Potions," I added in a hurry, trying not to drop my load of books.

When six o'clock finally rolled around, it seemed that it had taken

Forever. But, when it came no one was late getting to the lake.

I waited at the edge of the lake. I glanced at my watch. It read 5:50.

I glanced up to see Ron & Harry running and waving to me to get my

Attention.

"Hey, uh where's is the boat," Ron asked impatiently.

"I'll get it here by spell," I added. "Botaka," I yelled. Suddenly a motor boat appeared. We towed the boat out onto the lake.

"You know Ron the water really brings out your eyes," I said blushing. This comment was taking it too far. Harry fake gagged on the side of the boat.

"That's so –er sweet Hermione, yeah sweet," Harry sheepishly added.

Ron stared down at the murky water.

"How?" asked Ron dumbfounded. "

It –er, brings out the blue, in your eyes." I added, heading into a second storm of blushing.

"Awwwwwwwwwww," Harry added.

"Harry just SHUT UP! You were saying Hermione," Ron added motioning for me to continue.

"And your orange hair, just, sparkles, in the sun," I added, leading to a third round of blushing.

"You're a Vampire Ron? You never told me!" Harry yelled.

"What?" asked Ron in even more confusion then before.

"Muggle book," I explained. "Called Twilight."

"Oh." Ron added, still showing signs of major confusion.

"Forget it Ron," I added, probably sounding pretty frustrated.

We took the boat back to shore in awkward silence. When we arrived on shore, Harry was the first to get out. Ron and I stepped out of the boat together. I yelled "Gonus" and the boat disappeared.

Ron and I walked through the castle together, and said our goodnights and headed to the dormitories.

I heard Ron mutter to Harry, "That was the best boat ride ever." I checked my watch. It read 9:45. I knew it wasn't late yet but I pulled of my shoes and rolled under my covers, and fell asleep.
