A/N: Thanks to all of you who reviewed my last story, Not Coop. You guys
made my day! Well, this is completely different, no relation to the other
story, yet still about Summer. I don't know, I just find her so interesting
to write about. She used to be my least favorite character on the show,
with Marissa being my favorite, but now it's the opposite. Just a little
thing I thought of while (ironically) I was shopping today. Extremely
short! R&R!
Summary: Summer thinks about the real reason why she likes to shop so much
Summer escaped from the warm retail lighting of Barney's, $650 dollars poorer, and a grand addition of 3 things to her wardrobe. She was on one of her famous shopping sprees again, but this time alone, not with Coop. She had a lot on her mind recently, and, well bluntly, shopping was her escape. What, did you all really think she needed a wardrobe that filled up 3 closets just because she LIKED it?
No.
The real reason: It was an escape. Escape from the cruelty of reality. Every worry, every tear, every trouble, everything just escaped as you walked into the bright lighting of high-end department stores.
You didn't have to focus on anything, except for finding what shade foundation perfectly matches your skin tone, or what colors don't make you look washed out.
You didn't have to worry about your absentee mother, or your workaholic father, or your pill popping step-mother. You didn't have to worry about your best friend constantly ditching you, or possibly not being in love with your boyfriend anymore.
You could just whip out the plastic and go crazy.
It was as simple as that.
Then again...maybe it wasn't so simple.
A little different for a change, Huh? It didn't turn out exactly as I thought it would, but they nearly never do. Well tell me what you think, so I keep on writing!
