Chapter 1:
From the shadows
The cold, harsh wind of London beat down his long black hair. His thought always wandering. Thoughts of how his mother was and what would happen to him slowly started to change to what he was going to do with his problem. His sister was almost killed and he, barley able to walk. Because of Selthimy. That idiot was now dead but he couldn't help think that it wasn't over. What could be the meaning of this? He saw him with his own two eye fall into the abyss. No one not even him could live from that kind of fall. A shift in the wind makes him shiver. He looks over his shoulder to see none other than her. His sister. "What do you want" he asked.
"What? Can't a girl talk to her little brother?" she said. She looked at him worriedly. "What's wrong," she asked.
"Huh? Oh, nothing why?" He looked nevus. This didn't happen often. In fact it' was the first time except from being nervous of what happened to Selthemy. A step was heard. Someone was there. Tetseeke pull out the blades on his back. "State your name," the boy urged.
"Oh come on boy put those swords away," came the reply.
"What do you want," the boy asked. He now started to calm down. "And come out of the shadows tetseeke."
"Ah so you do remember me" the man said stepping out of the shadows. "Come now thurizas what do you intend to do with the very blades I gave you?" A smile arose from his mouth.
"Whatever I feel I want to do old fool. What are you doing here? If I remember you was suppose to check the front lines."
"What's going to happen if I check up on my little brother and sis? There hasn't been an attack in three months you know. Selthimy is dead. I don't know why we have to stay here and make sure he doesn't come back." Tetseeke turned. "We all saw him die. "There is now way he could liveā¦"he paused. He noticed his brother's expression. "Is there?"
"There might be a way." The boy shifted. "This is selthimy we're talking about. He almost killed us all." The sound of a catapult being fire came in the wind. "Move!" The boy grabbed his sister and jumped out of the way.
"What the hell was that," Tetseeke exclaimed.
Laughter filled the air. "Did you really think you could kill me," came a voice.
"You!!!" Tetseeke then pulled the blade hidden in his cloak. He started to charge.
Then a blade shot out of the smoke. It found its target. Tetseeke was mortally wounded. "What can you hope to accomplish? You are weak and fragile. You couldn't hope to defeat me with such a weak blade!" blood ran down Tetseeke's chest. "You see, mortal I am now a god! No one, not even you could kill a god!"
"Brother!" thurizas ran to Tetseeke's side.
"Run! Get as far away as you possibly can!" tetseeke then rose. "I'll try to hold him off while you and Obsidian can get away"
"No! He'll kill you!" the boy grabbed his brother and tried to pull him away.
"There is no time for this," tetseeke said pushing thurizas away. "I can handle him. Now go!"
The boy looked sorrowfully at his wounded brother. "Don't die." the boy turned and ran with his sister.
"Are we really going to leave him," Obsidian asked. Thurizas didn't answer for a while.
"We have no choice. He wanted us to go and we have to listen." They both turned only to see Tetseeke charging at Selthimy. They clashed into each other making a clash noise. Then Sethimy grab Tetseeke and stabbed him in the stomach. Tetseeke's gasp was heard even from were they were standing. "Move! Hurry," Thurizas yelled. He looked back but didn't see Selthimy. They continued running until the came to the camp they were stationed in. They looked for anyone but couldn't find any sign of life at the camp. Obsidian then passed out from her lack of energy. "Sis!" Thurizas's head then started to spin and he too collapsed on the floor.
