Prolouge:
It was the middle of the day as the Elric Brothers forced their aching feet forward. "Brother, can we stop for just a minute?" Alphonse Elric asks. "No, we gotta...keep moving...otherwise...we'll be...late...again!" Edward gasps, yet collapses in the middle of the road anyway.
"Edward Elric! What is your freaking problem? You're always late and even Al has enough class to apologize!" Ed jumps up and knocks his head on a rather low tree branch (hehe he's short) as his girlfriend, Winry R. (Sorry! Can't remember Winry's last name!) yells at him. "Oh shut up! Don't you think that you'd be tired to if you walked all the way from Central?" Ed yells back. Ed and Winry have been dating for the past year and their relationship had taken a turn for the worse! "Brother, calm down! You're gonna say something your bound to regret!" Al whispers hastly. "No! I'm tired of her always thinking that I'm inconsiderate! She never seems to think that I have duties outside of her! I'm a freaking state alchemist. The Fullmetal Alchemsit to be exact! And I get enough crap from the military as it is! I don't need any crap from you!" Ed yells, turning his attention to his pouting girlfriend.
His expression softened as he quietly says, "Oh babe, I'm sorry! Please don't cry!" "No, if that's how you really feel, then maybe we should just break up!" she turns around and crosses her arms over her chest. "WHAT? That's not at all what I'm trying to say!" a shocked Edward screeches. "No, you've made your choice. It's over!" Winry yells, running into the house. "Ah crap! I REALLY did it this time!" "Told you so!" Alphonse mutters. "Hey! Don't you dare take her side! I seriously am tired of her crap!"
The brothers go into the house and spend the night with Winry and Granny. Granny makes them a nice stew and Ed lets Winry work on his automail. When morning comes, the Elric's leave the safety of their friends house and leave before any of them actually wake up.
