He'd been helping that ass-hole. And he didnt' even realise it.
Brett couldn't pin-point, when his feelings for Mason exactly happened. He'd heard the younger Teen drooling over him from across the field. Anything that Pissed Liam off was fine by him. With all the Drama that came with the Dead-pool, and trying to protect his pack, Mason's feelings were quickly forgotten. That was, until Sinema. On the Surface, getting stung by a Dread Doctor creation wasn't the best way to spend his Weekend.
The plus side was Mason was indebted to him. He said Hello to him everyday. When he got lunch at Practise Mason even saved him a seat. He'd invite Brett places, and he would go only sometimes, but he couldn't stand being around Liam for more than an hour.
As he'd listen to Mason complain about his unfulfilling hopeless love life, Brett knew that soon it would be time to make a move.
He remembered the day he planned to make a pass. They were at the Beach. Brett was hoping to impress Mason with surfing moves. The weather wasn't as hot as he'd liked. But he took his shirt off anyway. Waiting for Mason to wave or Whistle or make a horny comment. As Brett surfed, all he could see in glancing was Mason on his phone.
Shockingly he could hear conversations about Mason having a New Boyfriend.
Brett hid his surprise and the beginnings of panic and carried on surfing. It was only afterwards wrapped in a towel that Liam told him the bad news.
"Mason's New Guy is gonna show up today" Liam told him smugly.
Brett growled and walked over to Mason, faking a smile. "Watching Walking Dead updates" He asked.
"I guess you've heard...someone's coming today" Mason said shyly.
Brett nodded Squinting. He hadn't said the word "Boyfriend" chances were that this wasn't serious. It was over thirty minutes later, when this someone finally showed up. Brett watched from a Distance, he knew that he wouldn't be able to hide his Disappointment. His hearing told him that this Guy's name was Clay and he told the Guys that he'd worked at a computer shop.
What computer shop? Brett had to find out, and quickly...
