His Little Girl

As Drake Mallard opened up his door to his house wearing his Darkwing Duck outfit, he could feel the weight of the day lift off his shoulders. He turned on the lights to a dim setting and plopped himself onto his chair feeling like a train just hit him at full speed. Everything was quiet, which was odd considering Gosalyn would usually be playing her video game until midnight. He took a few moments to rest before he lifted himself up off of his chair and made his way up the stairs.

"I can't believe Gosalyn's already asleep, must've been a long day at school." Drake whispered to himself quietly, he walked in front of his daughter's door and gently twisted the knob to peek into the room.

Gosalyn was laying on her back in her favorite PJ's and her lamp was still turned on. She was snoring away with a big grin on her face and Drake made sure not to wake her as he stepped into the room and by her bedside.

"Goodnight honey, sweet dreams." Drake said softly, lifting her gently into her bed sheets and covering her. He kissed the top of her head and turned off the lamp, as he was about to exit the room he noticed a piece of paper on the ground.

He picked it up and noticed that Gosalyn left him a note in case she passed out before he came home from his night out crime fighting. "Hey Dad, I guess I couldn't stay awake as long as I usually do. But can you blame me? I had a huge kickball tournament at school followed up by P.E. Anyways, I made you this bracelet in art class today. Thought it would bring you good luck while you're out doing your crime fighting. Love you!"

"Awww...Gosalyn." Drake softly whispered, looking at the purple and black beaded bracelet she made him. He slipped it on his wrist and walked back over to his daughter, leaned down and kissed her again on the top of her head. "Thanks sweetie."

He walked as silently as he could out of her room and made his way to his own bedroom to go to sleep, all the while looking at his new bracelet his little girl made him to bring him luck.
