"Why am I doing this?"
Edge muttered to himself while leaning against a railing on the Falcon's deck. They—the men of the party—were fixing the airship under Cid's instructions. And he, the Prince of Eblan, was getting bored to death.
"I'm the Prince of Eblan! A ninja Prince! I shouldn't be doing this. I should be served in a room full of pretty ladies..."
"Hey, stupid brat! Stop daydreaming and get to work!" Cid yelled from his post on the other end of the ship.
"…not taking orders from an old coot! I should have him executed once this is all over!"
He was busy visualizing the many ninja-styled ways of getting back to the old mechanic when he spotted a flash of green approaching the ship.
"…speaking of pretty ladies…" he grinned to himself.
Rydia and Rosa were heading to the airship to check on the progress of the maintenance. At least, that was Rydia's purpose. She was sure that Rosa just wanted to see Cecil. Even a seven years old kid could see the thing going on between the two from a single glance.
"Hey there, ladies…"
Of course, some people are too dumb to notice. She glared at the ninja suddenly appearing before them with a flirty look on his face and stepped in front of Rosa to guard her from this…this…pervert!
"Stay away from Rosa, you creep!" she seethed at him.
At that, Edge raised a single eyebrow. She thought he was hitting on…Rosa? Well sure, the white mage was pretty, but she seemed a little too…Cecil-y for him. Besides, he's not one to go after other's property, especially when the certain other was the leader of the party… Nevertheless, it's quite comprehensible that the summoner wasn't used to guys hitting on her, what with her past fifteen years living with her eidolon "family". As in, every single one of them seeing her as family and not more. Well then, it would be HIS job to do something about that, no?
"Well certainly, milady. As gorgeous as Lady Rosa is, I wouldn't have eyes on anyone but you." he winked at her while Rosa giggled silently.
He was quite taken aback at her stunned expression, so much that he failed to evade Cid who grabbed him by his shirt and dragged him back to work, but as he savored the deep blush rising to her face, he couldn't help but blew her a kiss and exclaimed,
"Yours forever, Love‼"
