Here's a quick little story that came to mind. its only 215 words or so, but i hope you enjoy it!
Nothing makes sense
Twilight sat in her study, the lights dimmed, poring over a mysterious object. Nothing made sense anymore, nothing! It was a complete catastrophe, and the worst part was that she didn't even understand what this catastrophe was!
"Left, right, up, left, down... Gahhh!" Twilight yelled in frustration. This was complete chaos. Just to make sure, Twilight looked out a window to make sure that Ponyville wasn't being completely annihilated. To her slight surprise, everything seemed to be in order. Putting on a smile that was slightly less than sane, the lavender unicorn turned back to the problem at hand. "I'll figure you out eventually," she paced around the object. "One. Way. Or. Another."
Twilight prided herself on being able to solve any problem. She was Princess Celestia's star student, after all. But this... this abomination was so complex that it was ridiculous. If Twilight couldn't figure out this freak of nature, then obviously there was an enormous problem with the world. Was it a sign? Maybe a sign that the world was in an unavoidable danger? Yes... that must be it! She had to warn her friends! Her mane frizzled, eyes and ears twitching, Twilight ran out of her library to warn her friends, leaving the rubiks cube abandoned in the study.
