Assassination
"The first match will be between Naruto Uzumaki vs. Neji Hyuga." The proctor announced to the excited crowd. While the other chunin left Neji and Naruto moved to stand across from each other. Before the proctor started the fight he allowed time for the normal pre-fight banter.
Shaking with what seemed to be poorly concealed rage Naruto spat at his opponent. "Neji I will never forgive you!" This yell and his actions rang through the field as the formerly vocal audience quieted to listen in to start of the match. "I can't let you carry on as you have been, Hinata never deserved…!"
With little thought Neji shot back with words that he would later come to regret, "What makes you think that you can stop me? What I did is none of your concern."
"I know that your clan allows such things but how could you? Neji how could you touch your own cousin that way?" Naruto's voice was now almost pleading in quality.
"It was her fate to be lying before me…" Neji started to say before being interrupted.
"Fate! She ended up in the hospital with bruises on her chest for weeks and she is still week." Looking down at his feet Naruto continued in a quieter voice that the crowd had to strain to hear. "You shouldn't touch girls like that Neji, that was a bad touch."
Now angry Neji yelled back "I was in the right. Hiashi approved of my actions!"
The audience was in an unnatural silence at these words. The shocked looks of many spectators quickly turned to those of disgust and outrage. A low murmur of disapproval was now apparent. Below on the stadiums floor the two fighters tensed as the proctor suddenly spoke up. "Ok that is enough talk you can start fighting now!"
"Procter I quit! I can't stand to look at this waste anymore." Naruto declared this in a neutral voice and started his walk toward the stands. In his own mind Naruto knew that he had already won. With a few words he had assassinated Neji's character and gotten revenge for Hinata.
Not understanding the truth of his defeat Neji smiled.
