Chapter 1
The Doctor ran around the TARDIS, flipping switches, pulling knobs, pressing buttons. The TARDIS responded as it always does, jumping all over the place and making the familiar whirring sound that the Doctor loved so much. He was allowing the TARDIS to take him wherever it thought he was needed. The TARDIS lurched as it landed and the Doctor stood up, straightening his bowtie. The lights in the TARDIS went out.
The Doctor was flabbergasted, flipping more switches, trying to get the lights back on, but none of it worked. It was as if the power in the TARDIS was completely gone. He pulled out his sonic screwdriver and tried to analyse the TARDIS to find out what was wrong, but his sonic wasn't working either.
"But this is impossible!" he muttered, smacking his screwdriver a couple times, trying to get it to work. When it didn't, he ran out the door of the TARDIS to find himself staring up at some sort of sporting event. Not a normal sporting event, no, there were no checker-coloured balls or any black pucks. This was in the air. All the players were on brooms, flying around. There were 14 of them, 7 in crimson, 7 in emerald green. There were four balls, one golden ball, the size of a ping pong ball, whizzing around as if it were being chased by someone or something, two orange-sized balls, failing around towards the players, and one that was the size of a football, being tossed from player to player.
"And Gryffindor scores again! Gryffindor in the lead 40-20!" a voice sounded over the noise of the cheering crowd, "And there's a blue box… and a man in a bowtie… what the hell? Does anybody know what's going on?"
