This is surprisingly my first Ouran fan fiction I have put up here, although I have started a few currently unfinished ones. I found this on my old laptop's hard drive, and since I liked it, I decided to finish working on it! So here is the first (rather short) chapter!
Disclaimer: I do not own Ouran High School Host Club in any way shape or form!
The moment Haruhi heard his music, she knew her heart was stolen. It was a long couple of months to grow accustomed to this man's erratic behavior, but his music reflected none of that. It was calm and soothing, like a soft rain in the middle of the night. She peeked in through the door and watched, mesmerized as his fingers danced gracefully across the keys.
It was only the first time she had heard him play, but she knew that she had fallen for him. It had taken many long, hard months for him to catch her attention, but as soon as his fingers hit the keys, Tamaki Suoh had won her heart.
As Haruhi became more and more immersed into his melody, she didn't notice when Tamaki began to gradually slow down. It was only when he finally stopped playing did she notice that he was aware of her presence. Before she could slip away, Tamaki called to her in a surprisingly soothing voice.
"Haruhi, come here."
Knowing she had no other choice, she walked over to the piano bench cautiously and attempted to hide her blush of guilt. When she was standing next to the piano, he could only smile at her kindly and pat the bench next to him.
"Would you like me to teach you?"
It took Haruhi a moment to register his words, but she then nodded and sat next to him slowly, making sure to keep a space between them. As Tamaki attempted to teach her, she couldn't stop her hands from shaking. In one quick motion, Tamaki stood up and repositioned himself behind her. Slowly, he placed his hands atop hers, ceasing the trembling at once.
"Like this, I'll help you." His voice was suddenly softer, as his mouth was directly next to her ear. He gently guided Haruhi's fingers across the keys, slowly at first, and faster as time went on. It seemed to be hours before Tamaki finally lifted his hands away from hers and stepped back. The cold air hit her like a brick wall and she stood up instantly.
"Thank you Tamaki-s-sempai," she stammered quickly and gave a polite half bow.
"Anytime, Haruhi. I'm here every day, feel free to come back," Tamaki grinned and brushed a stray lock of hair out of her eyes and leaned down to match her height. Haruhi's face flushed deep red and she couldn't help but look away and pray he couldn't hear her heart beating. Tamaki only chuckled and placed a light kiss on her forehead before returning to his seat on the piano bench.
Haruhi's eyes widened as she glanced back at Tamaki. She swore she could have seen the slightest blush across his cheeks, but before she could blurt out something stupid, she turned and left the third music room.
A/N: Thank you so much for reading! I apologize for this being so short, but I promise the chapters shouldn't ever be this short. The second chapter is much longer, but I'm still putting the finishing touches on it! If I get seven reviews on the first chapter, I'll put up the second chapter for you guys! :)
