10 Promises
Hey Corporal
Do you remember?
Remember that ten promises you make with me?
If you don't, I'll tell you.
One: Please stay with me as much as possible.
Our lives are short. We don't know when we are going to die.
Even so…
I still want to be with you.
Two: I'll try to follow all of your orders. So please refrain from suddenly kicking me.
Because it hurt when you kicked me. And I don't want to see you sad.
I want you to be happy.
Three: Please trust me. Just doing that makes me unbelievably happy.
Being trusted by the person you loved, there is nothing can compare the happiness and joy that you feel.
Four: Let's come back alive.
This world is a dangerous place, where we have to fight, just to survive. But, it's also very beautiful. Let's come back alive, you and I, so we can see it beautiful side together.
Five: At times please talk to me.
Whenever I feel sad, please be the one to talk to me. Because just hearing from you, make me really happy. All the sadness inside me, will be washed away by you. Even thought you'll probably kick me.
Six: Please treat me like a human.
Because I am a titan-shifter, I am hated by probably all of the humanity. You were the only one who treating me likes a human. Even thought your words are harsh, you always kick me, and so on, you still think that I am a human brat. Not a monster. If you also treat me like a monster, I don't think I can bear it.

I believe you know how stubborn I am. How naïve I am. My words probably are stupid. But they are also my thoughts, my emotions. So please hear me out.
