Another one-shot on Tsukasa and Tsukushi, this isn¡¯t meant to be a long one, just a short one. Reviews are very much appreciated.

Tie me a Yellow Ribbon
I'm coming home
I've done my time
And I have to know what is or isn't mine
If you received my letter
Telling you I'd soon be free
Then you'd know just what to do
If you still want me

Tsukasa stared blithely out of the glass window as his chauffeur zipped him past the bright neon lights of Tokyo City.

Many buildings had been destroyed and new ones built in place. Many things had changed, making way for the rapid development of the city. Even the dango shop Tsukushi had worked at had been replaced with a new snazzy caf¨¦.

He wondered if people would change with time. He hoped not.

Long distance relationships were never easy to maintain and Tsukasa had found it difficult to do so with Tsukushi. She had countless examinations to sit for, countless homework to finish while he had countless corporate meetings and proposals to look at everyday.

Even calling had been a struggle. The time difference between Tokyo and New York didn't help, with Tsukushi falling asleep most of the time halfway through the conversation at 2am. It soon dwindled from once a day to once a week.

Not forgetting the numerous scandals, which had plagued the wealthy CEO of one the largest business empires in Japan, so much so that Rui had to call Tsukasa up specially for a small "pep talk". Even Tsukushi had guys who pestered her in university continuously until Akira had to stand in as her boyfriend for a period of time.

Of course Tsukushi would understand, wouldn't she? We will never be unfaithful to each other. Tsukasa had argued.

But four years was a long time, and even Tsukasa had to admit that. He wondered if Tsukushi had received his message that he was coming back today. Maybe she was still sleeping when he had sent it at 1am before boarding the plane, or maybe she was simply too tired to care.

The song 'Tie me a Yellow Ribbon Around the Old Oak Tree' had been playing in the background when he had called.. She had particularly liked this oldie.

"You know Doumyouji, when you come back from America, I'll tie a yellow ribbon on the door to my apartment so that you know I am still waiting for you." Tsukushi joked..

"And what if I don't see one?" He asked, chuckling at her childish nature,

"Then I would have forgotten about you already!" She exclaimed and they both laughed.

Tsukasa wondered if Tsukushi still remembered. The car stopped in front of Tsukushi's apartment. He got out slowly and walked up the stairs.

Each step seemed too long, too torturous. But finally, he reached the apartment.

A hundred yellow ribbons decorated the front door, as Tsukushi sat outside on the floor.

"You're back."

And he smiled.

Now the whole damn bus is cheering
And I can't believe I see
A hundred yellow ribbons
'Round the old, the old oak tree

Time taken: half an hour! Although I really do suspect I screwed up a part here or there, but please review!
