Tritter was sitting at his desk in his office, staring at nothing in particular. He was pissed. Pissed because this asshole addict had gotten away. He'd planned everything so well, there had been no loose strings, no way the stupid addict could wriggle himself out of this. But somehow he had. For some reason people always stood up for him.

Why? He could wrap his brain around this mystery. His arch-enemy had escaped justice and he didn't know why. Now, all he had left was to go back to his own miserable life. He thought about his cold, dingy apartment. He hated the place, it reeked of failure. And he was not a failure, he kept telling himself over and over again.

He opened a new pack of gum and stuffed one into his mouth. He chewed on it vigorously, putting all his anger and frustration into the movement of his jaw-muscles.

He got up and grabbed for his coat, but stopped in mid-movement. He clasped his throat, choking...

The damned gum...

'Oh my got, I can't breath... somebody help me!' Tritter thought frantically. He peered around the office through watering eyes. But there was noone there. They'd all gone home ages ago.

The gum was firmly logded in his throat, there was no way he could get it out without help.

His vision became blurry, his thoughts dazed. He heard a voice ringing in his head.

„If you keep going on the gum like that, it might kill you one day..."

Very funny, he thought, but I'm not going to die, not like this. I'm not giving HIM that satisfaction.

He dropped to his knees, his legs to weak from the loss of oxygen to support him any longer. His lungs burned. There were stars dancing in front of his eyes.

He was still trying to get the gum out, but his movements grew weaker... and weaker. Then he toppled over onto his side.

'Should've listened to the guy...' was the last thought that ran through his head before darkness finally took him.

They found him the next day. The cause of death was quickly discoverered. When House heard about it, he just shrugged, popped a pill and said: „I told him so." Then he continued playing Level 3.
