Chapter one

"Miroku I can't do this again I know that you're still seeing them behind my back" Sango cried tears blurring her vision in the small hut.

"Sango I simply don't know what you're talking about who am I see-"

"Don't lie Miroku I saw you with that girl in the last town and you promised you would stop but I heard what you just told that hussy!"

"I was procuring us a place for the night I was in no way –"

"You told her you would meet her tonight after asking her to bare you're children I am not dumb monk!"

"Sango dear please calm down"

"Don't you tell me to calm down Miroku! I am tired of it. If I can't be your only then I am done with you!"

"But where will you go?"

"You know where Miroku," She whispered through the tears running from the door. It had been two years since the jewel had been completed and a year since she had first caught Miroku sleeping around in the towns they visited. He had promised they would Marry and live near her old village but she could not trust him, and now he wasn't even fallowing her. No matter how much she told herself he wasn't worth it she had stayed beside him but now she was finally leaving him. She warily made her way to the forest taking just one look back. She would miss him surly but she just could not deal with the betrayal anymore.

And all that had landed her here, bleeding at the foot of cliff , unable to even lift her head anymore. All hope had died at Miroku being her savior hours ago and now that it was getting dark she was a sitting duck. A crack in the woods had her searching in vain for the intruder but her vision blurred from the dark and blood loss she couldn't see even the faint outline of the trees. A masculine gasp from the other side of her told her what she couldn't see. Someone was behind her a male someone just maybe Miroku had come after her. Level steps made their way towards her and Sango held her breath this was it either this person helped her or she would die. Hands came under her as the dull throb became a searing pain determined to made its presents known and darkness overcame her vision.
