Girl Meets new student
As the bell rang at Adam Quincy high, students flocked the halls heading to there lockers and getting their books. Maya was standing at her locker complaining about how she had maths today "ugh I hate maths.. I wish we could do something more fun" she turned to her best friend Riley. "Oh Maya you need to stop complaining!" The bubbly girl spoke as they headed towards history.
Riley P.O.V
I walked into my dad's class and stopped as I saw a new girl in our class room. She had long red hair and blue eyes, she looked pretty "take your seat everyone" she hears her dad say and she sits down. "Class we have a new student joining us I would like you to meet Janai summers" I turn to face the student who just seemed scared. I stood up and walked to her.
"I'm Riley it's nice to meet you!" I say with my bubbly expression hoping this made the girl ease up. But she was more scared. I noticed a bruise on her and I went to touch her but she flinched. I looked at my dad "go back in your seat Riley." He spoke to me and I did, glancing at Maya as I sat down.
Janai's POV
I'm very scared of new people and surroundings; I glanced up at Mr. Mathews but turned away. I was sleepy and hungry but I don't have any money to buy food and food at home was small. "Miss Summers, are you listening? What is depression?" I looked at him, I knew what it was but, I didn't want to answer so I looked up at him as he walked to me. The bell rang and I went to get up "everyone can leave.. Except for Miss Summers" I sat back down and sighed. Why me?
